Yoga For Beginners Program

Program Description

This program was created for those who are beginning their yoga journey, or for those who would like to go back to the basics to build upon their foundational knowledge of asana, breathwork, and other energetic practices. Asana is the physical practice of yoga and relates to the physical body. In Sanskrit, the word asana translates as “posture,” specifically for meditation. Today asana is synonymous with yoga in the west, but it is only one component. In this program, we will go deeper into understanding asana, the names of poses, how asana connects to the breath, and other energetic practices. By the end of this program, you will have a basic understanding of: -Principles of yoga alignment and bandhas -The 5 movements of the spine -Standing Asanas -Forward bends -Twists -Backbends -Inversions -Pranayama -Sun Salutations -Moon Salutations -Living a yoga Life Once you have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of asana, you can start applying what you have learned to your practice. When you purchase this program, it will be available to you without limitation. Come back to it at any time you wish to brush up on the basics. *This program is open to annual member holders.
